just sayin'

Cool. Although it looks like it's not all sets, the 50% deal seems to be the SEA/metric combo pack. Great deal though.

is it actual gear wrenches or craftsman ratcheting wrenches?

Sears.com

too bad the metrics only go up to 18mm, a 19 would be more useful.
Although 3/4 is close enough 90% of the time.
Also the SAE sizes seem kind of strange

I went there and all I saw were the craftsman brand initially.
Thanks.

For anyone wondering the craftsman brand have more metal around the ratcheting wrench severly limiting the spaces they will fit in

It appears to be the shitty ones with no offset and no reversing switch. So you have to turn them over to go the other direction.

The flex head ones are also on sale, but $60 for 7 of them.

The best ones I have are branded as Huskys... but I don't think HD sells them anymore.

thats the typical sale price. black friday is often $45 or so for that set.
Good eye on no offset

The flex heads are great but also don't have a switch

huh, I thought sears went out of business years ago...:flipoff2:

Craftsman quality died a decade ago, and Sears is withering away, waiting on the value of the name to run out.

I have a set of the standard Gearwrenchs. It looks like that Craftsman are only $10 more. Would anybody recommend the Craftsman's over the Gearwrench's?

What is the guarantee on Gearwrench? I've heard it is lifetime replacement like Craftsman but I've never had the need to.
If so - I'd go w/ GW only b/ I don't feel confident there will be many Sears around in 5 years to do a swap...

sell yes. warranty no.
looks like GW farms that out to a 3rd party.

I have a set of the gearwrench at work. Was using them the last week and one of the ratchet ends fell apart. I bought them at Advance when they were half off.

F no. The craftsman ones I have are shit. The heads are too big around, the tooth count is way too low, and the ones I have are flat (no offset), so you can't get your hand on them.

Fyi your local snapon guy can warranty them for you!!! The gearwrench stuff is good(the older ones held up better). I sell 2-3 sets a week.
