I have an 07 with 37" tires and 5:13 gears. I would reccommend 5.38 gears if you can find them, PolyPerformance sells them. These JK's are a bit under powered. The 5.13's were okay when I had 35" tires but with 37's I would like a little more gear.

I wouldn't reccomend any more than 5.13's if you plan to wheel it. The front pinion is already tiny with 5.13's.

East Coast Gear Supply sells gears too. You can't run 5.38's in the jk 30's which is what he has. you can only run the 5.38's in the 44's so it has to be a rubicon.

5.38's will be fine as long as its a rubicon. 5.13s work well on the street for the jks but off road I would go w a lowe gear.
