Geico ??

Anybody have Geico? I did an online quote the other day while I was mad about being on hold with my ins. company and found out they were about $450 a year cheaper. Now I am thinking of switching. I figger cust. service may not be that great but to tell the truth it aint that great with my current ins. company. Anybody have any experience Geico ?
 
Sure, I've been with Geico for years. I've had good service from them in my experience. One of my BMW's got rear ended pretty badly a few years ago and they were very fair with me. They wouldn't pay for a rental while it was being fixed, but after I looked into it apparently that is pretty standard when it comes to motorcycles. Also, the wife's Taurus just mysteriously wouldn't crank one evening when we were out to dinner, and they got us a tow back to our house at no charge, which was pretty cool. When I bought my gooseneck trailer they added it to my F-350's policy at no charge, which really surprised me. Every time I've ever called them to drop or add a vehicle, or to just ask a question they have been very prompt to anwser the phone and were very professional, and their prices are good. I don't know what else you could ask for in an insurance policy, so I've been very happy with them for about the last ten years or so.
 
when you have a claim agianst them they suck, not that it has anything to do with being their customer, but i've had to threaten to sue the guy who hit my wife in order for them to get off their ass. so as a customer who may have a claim against you, they don't care to keep the person you hit happy.

so in other words, if you are at fault, prepare to be sued or threatened to be sued because of your insurance company? Hmm, don't know if I'd chance that for a few $$$...


Wonder what the rates are like if you get a point or 2 due to a wreck or ticket? That may be where they stick it to ya
