I’m looking for some pictures and ideas of putting a family style cage in a geo tracker. Just bought one for the wife to cruise around in and needs some sort of cage before I let my daughter ride in the back. I would like to retain the factory soft top.

After staring at it some I’m thinking of notching the tube into the targa to have a more of a strait shot to from the a pillar to the c pillar.

No idea if this will fit or help or anything but I've got this factory cage out of my Jeep TJ you can have if you come get it.

Keep in mind weight. If you have the stock drivetrain it aint got a lotta umph to work with.

I used the stock tj roll bar I got from @ncsutj
And it worked out great. We started with removing the factory 3 point seat belt mounts.

I removed 2 1/2 inches from the length of the tube going from the b pillar to the c pillar. Then cut down the mounting plates until they fit where I wanted. I had to trim down the center where the roll bar is bolted together from the factory until everything was the right angle and width for the geo.

I had a piece of 1 1/4 schedule 80 pipe laying around so I bent that to be a spreader for the rear. It tucks in the soft top above the back window.

My wife finished it up with some sparkly paint she liked.
