Im lookin at a geo tracker as my next trail rig i found one for so cheap i cant pass it up and i was wondering how it would handle off road and also what would be the best lift/tire set up...ive only seen a few of these lifted so if anyone has any pics as well let me know....if i dont use it i will just sell it but i would like to build a trail rig with it just not sure how it will hold up....

A tracker with dual steering tons, Krawlers, SBC/th400/STaK 3 speed would kick azz.

Thats what id do with one.

Or keep it stock and roll it in the back of your pick up for a spare:lol:

Here is a Chevy Tracker that is for sale... $4k

check out some of the zuki boards like zukikrawlers.com and zuwharrie.com.... there are a bunch of guys that build trackicks for offroad.... I even think that i saw a 4dr kick rolling around that the guys a CRS built....

but toy axles and 33-35s seem to be the standard size most of those guys go... just all bout what u want

My Father-in-law has a Geo Tracker he wants to sell. It has an oil leak. Part of the engine is apart as he was going to fix the oil leak, but he hasn't finished it. He would sell it as is pretty cheap because he just doesn't have time to finish it and he has another one that he drives every day.

I'd think they can be every bit as capable as a sami for pretty cheap. Think what you'll save on tires by (only) putting 33's on it.

#1 you will not put 33's under a track/kick with out a lot of body mods, fender triming and wheel well pounding and at least a 2" body lift.
that said 31's will fit nice and you can do most if not all of uwharriee in a stock track/kick,
31's with a locker in the back will get you places most heeps and toy's can go on 35's and probably some places they can't :) come to the spring Zu this weekend at uwharrie and see for your self. http://www.zuwharrie.com/

I had a 92, i think, geo tracker for a lil. 35" tires, stock suspension, 6" body lift. I bought it that way and only thing i did was the front brush guard so that i could ram down a tree in my back yard, so don't hate on me for this. It was hilarious. To shift to 4wd i had to turn off the engine because the shifter was completely under the floor, and vibrations were too much to move it bc my arm would get banged into the side of the opening. lol

Contact TPS on this board he has a Tracker with front and rear Dana 44's and 37's it does really well. especially to be as short of a wheel base.

I don't have a good pic of it but you can see it in this one.

for a very short period of time, I owned this...

believe it or not, that was once a '93 tracker.
It was already built like that when I bought it, by a fellow CTJeep club member, and then I sold it when I moved.
Had a custom build clayton long arm suspension, toyota 8" axles front and rear, detroit ez-lockers, 5.29s, 36x15x15 tires
lots of fun to drive.
