Well, freshwater anyway.
The new son-in-law and his dad are local striper tournament guys .... also did a lot of bass.
Soooooo, I ended up with new fishing gear for Christmas, and that's a good thing.
I did fish a lot years ago, but over the years, all my stuff has drifter to pier gear.

So now I want to go fishing. If it was warm weather I'd be ok.
Any pointers on what , when, where and how for cold weather fishing?
BTW- I don't have a boat, so it's all bank fishing.

My biggest thing with getting back into fishing is finding places to fish from the bank that aren't over fished.

As for techniques I have heard slower presentations mixed with reaction type lures work the best. I believe right now most of the bass are moved out to slightly deeper water but some are still in coves and creek openings where there is current.

Golf courses, friend lived in a house that backed up to a couple ponds, we would go but them once or so a month. Always good fun, catch and release though
