We bought this Giant Cypress bicycle for my son 3 years ago when he turned 12. He grew 8" though in the past 3 years, and it is way too small for him now. It has been an absolutely great bicycle. It has been so great, that we bought the exact same bike, but in a size Large for his 15th birthday. I personally ride this same bike and have had mine for several years or so now, and love it.
His new one was a hair over $1,000 out the door from Cycles De Oro in Greensboro.
The bike has normal scratches and scuffs in the paint from riding and hanging on a bike rack with other bikes.
If you are not familiar with the Giant Cypress, it is a city/hybrid/comfort bike that is great for gravel or paved paths. With front suspension and a suspension seat post, you could probably also take it on mild MTB trails.
The price is $500.
Here are some pictures of the bicycle.
