I am afraid I've got some bad news. I told everybody last year that I would do my dam best to keep prices as low as I could. I know the economy is pinching a lot of us in the wallet. I am not immune to the cost of products going up in price. Propane, Drinks,Gasoline,Hot Dogs, Buns and even the condiments have gone up a little over the new year that we are into now.

What I'm trying to say is to keep the standard of product and quality of freshness and prep, I've am sorry to say I will have to increase my price a little.

To make it as easy as i can as far as making change and instead of raising everything a nickle or a dime per item, I will only raise the dogs by fifty cents and keep everything else even money. Canned drinks, candy bars, chips etc. will remain a dollar even. I'm sorry again for this but I am letting you know up front instead of just as a surprise.

I've done several price checks and I hope I'm not gouging anybody. So let me have your thoughts good or bad. I can buy cheaper Chicken dogs but I refuse to sell something I don't like myself. Those things are one fourth the price of the All Beef dogs that I like to serve and you have gave me some good comments on my Dogs. thanks Your Hot Dog Guy!

Never had the pleasure of being out on the trails while you were out there selling hotdogs..... BUT, from what I have read/heard about your business .50 isn't anything for the great service, comradery, and food you provide right outside the trails.

This ^^^ It's like anything else with me though, I don't mind at all paying a little more for good products and/or services.

I knew this was coming, get us hooked and then jack the prices....

Hey if all you have to go is up is 50 cents than your doing good. Like everyone stated its worth it, I would much rather have the better food for the minimal price difference

^^^ I fully agree! Would prefer to pay a little bit more for higher quality products and services.

The first hot dog I ever ate of yours you gave me free, I think it was your first weekend out there and you were ready to go home because you have had a slow day.

From that day forward I have said you had a life long customer no matter the cost $.50 is nothing and look forward to eating some more this summer. My wife actually makes our hot dogs at home the same way as you now.

Don't sweat it Terry, the convenience of a hot dog in the middle of nowhere is worth way more than you're asking even now.

I will be at the D P G this coming weekend rain, sleet or snow! And thanks every body for your comments, it realy means a lot to me. I'll have a donation jar for the charity and all the money goes to the charity. I asked Ricky Bobby and he said it would be a great idea. Always trying to help. Your Hot Dog Guy!

Personally I would pay for the better hot dogs, but you might also consider trying to sell the cheaper chicken dogs and see how they do at a lower price. Might be surprised at how many people don't care.

Let me preface this by saying it's your cart, your business, and you should run it however you want. That said, you did open this up to opinions. I understand your desire to sell a superior dog, and I appreciate that, but in my experience, most folks don't care. I've cooked a lot of dogs, and the ones I've gotten the most compliments from are the cheapo B-Bars you get at Aldi in the big vacuum-pack. Don't ask me why, I don't know. They're just tasty dogs! Honestly, I think I'd take them over Sabrett's. And I'm a picky bastige. I like quality food, but the secret is in making cheaper goods taste like higher quality.

That said, I would GLADLY pay an extra $0.50 for the option to get my dog on a whole wheat bun with brown mustard and real meat chili. Not chili sauce. That's just my opinion, though. And if I make it out to DPG Saturday, I'll be buying a couple of your dogs regardless. I haven't had one yet, but everybody raves about them. I've been looking forward to this!

50 cents?? Is that all?
:stupid:Wait till they find out that I'll be lending you a hand serving them...they be willing to pay alot more!

50 cents is a small price to pay for quality product. I can imagine that if you fully load a quality hot dog with all the sides, it would add up quickly.. I say you will not have a single complaint as long as the quality stays the same.. I look forward to eating alot of them at the playground on sat..

you go to a nhra or nascar event and pay 10 bucks for a hot dog and a beer so an extra 50 cents for a hotdog brought out into the middle of nowhere for my conveince is not a problem, i will be happy to pay it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty. Just wanted to be up front with ya. I still carry the free stuff to anybody who asks while at Uwharrie N F. My regulars know what I'm talking about, Those that don't know. Ask me about it when you see me at U N F.:lol::lol::lol:

Well what I ran into was some dog owners don't let their four legged friends eat people food. Soooooo what I'm also doing this year is carrying doggie treats for the dogs. The dogs probally smell me uhh wait what I meant to say, they smell the food and want something. So, yes dogs eat free because they don't have any money! It's up to the owner as to what they get. And I'll add this also, Active Service men and women eat Free! Thats my way of saying thanks for them sacrificeing their time for US, as in me and you! Your Hot Dog Guy!
