GM 4l60e Control any GM TECHS here

I am thinking about puting a diesel in my J10 that currently has a 1993 TBI 350and 4l60e.

I will no longer need the ECM for the engine but I was wondering if used the TPS and tach inputs into the Stock ECM to control the 4l60e. and make it think it was still connected to the 350

I Know I could just use a 700r4 but this trans is a low milage GM Replacment and I know that it still has alot of life left.

The other option I thought of was to convert it back to the manual control like the 700r4, but I would like to keep the electronics if possible,

Look for an older diesel 4l80e truck to rob the parts off. I'm not 100% sure but you may be able to get the 4l80e controller to work on the 4l60e.

Actually they did use 4l60es behind non turbo non electronic 6.5s and they will have the stand alone computer you need.
