GM PCM work

If Hillsborough isn't too far away, I'd get Mike Ellis to do it. He reprogrammed the PCM for my 5.3

Alvin at PCM4Less, Nick Williams at Heintz Racing, or Tick Performance, all three are in Mooresville, NC and can easily do the programming. I've had Nick Williams at Heintz Racing (formerly Williams Performance) work on my tuning for my LQ4, and I will have him do my LM7 as well, and a good friend of mine works there. I've also had a good friend of mine have tuning work done by Alvin for his LT1. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 I listed.

If your LM7 is mostly stock, a mail order tune from someone like Justin at Blackbear Performance would probably suit you, he can make any changes you need, and he is highly respected among the GM Truck crowd. PCM4less also does mail order tunes as well.

All the above are great. Another one is Brendan Patton at www.lt1swap.com.

Check his website. I used him for my 5.7 vortec. He does all things GM.

thanks guys, i left messages and emails at the mooresville shops but no return calls yet. maybe they'll get back to me after the holiday.

if i don't send it to one of them i'll probably send it to waynehartwig on pirate. he seems to have the most hands on experience with tuning these things and is active on the board with info and listening to what his customers and fellow wheelers have to say.

thanks again for the input and happy 4th

Need to turn off DOD in my 5.3 GMC. Any updates to this old thread for Raleigh area PCM tuning? Or if Mike Ellis still active in Durham, contact info?
TIA

Thanks, did my own research:
I mailed my PCM & TCM to Home
Deleted DOD/AFM for full-time V8; throttle much more sensitive, significantly less pedal lag; shifts are firmer; PWM reduced 70% for TCC lockup; holds 4th with TCC lockup below 45 (for when you get behind the guy who won't go faster than 44).
