I started getting the 4.3 ready to go in, and started swapping over the PS stuff to make this work. I have a Spidertrax done up power steering pump (TC style) that I was going to use on my 1.3, bought it and got it ready to go before I decided to go 4.3. I pull the pump off my motor (saginaw pump) and realize I cant use this pump with my bracket.
The TC pump has been gone through by Spidertrax for the PO who bought it new, then I bought it and they rebuilt it (leaking front seal). I have a couple of bucks in this, and would like to use it if at all possible, mainly because I dont think I can get what I have in it out of it. I have found places that sell modded saginaw pumps that will bolt right in, but I have to buy a new pump.
My question is this - Is it possible to make this TC pump work, or would it be a easier/wiser choice to buy/mod the saginaw style pump that comes stock?
Application is my Zuk, 4.3, Toy IFS box, Hydro assist.
