GMC Confirms Hummer EV Truck and SUV Will Debut This Fall

So let's take a failure of a platform and give is a rebirth as an EV.

Interesting design though. Hard to find a stated range but the reports say a 200KW double stack battery pack. Supposed to be 3 electric motors, 2 in the back and one in the front.

So, will it be a hit?

a hummer that goes 0-60 in 3 seconds running on a GM tuned chassis.....what could go wrong!

They will sell a TON of these.....until they don't....anyone remember the new beetle and the PT cruiser? If you make it, they will come! (and buy it....until market saturation and ultimately total devaluation)

Honestly...I think it's cool, and the more technological advancements that come from it, the better. Right now, I think the elephant in the room is still price point, range and charging speed. If that electric EB weren't $125-175k, I'd probably be alot more interested in it than the new Ford EB.

Is it just me, or does the truck version look like one of the cars we used to draw as kids when we first learned to draw? You know...you could barely tell which end was the front and which was the back.

Exactly. The concept is cool, the battery power if it is what the releases say it is, cool. Why not give an estimated range, how long to recharge off a home charging station, how long to charge on 110V and as you pointed out, how expensive will it be?
