GM tranny kickdown cable removal

2001 suburban 5.3l....how do you disconnect the tranny kickdown cable from the TB?

That's the cruise control. There is no kickdown cable on that. Take two picks I usually use a 90* and a straight one. Catch that little clip towards the throttle body on either side of the split and gently pry the little plastic c clip back. Once you get it out some the cable will slip off and it'll just push back on.
 
There was a little ramp that was preventing the lil c-clip from coming out. That's what I really wanted to do.
I got it, used a tiny flat head screwdriver to hold the 'tongue' up that was preventing the thread part from rotating out. The threads were still a pain in the ass to unscrew. I measured the placement before unscrewing it, so I can screw it in the same depth when I reassemble.
 
Yea I never pull the c clip out. Just bend the legs of the c out with the picks. You don't have to bend them much til they clear then the cable pops off. They spring right back into place and it snaps back on. I've never unscrewed the cable but it sounds like you got it figured out either way.
