What would you guys choose if you had a chance to buy a vehicle that is fast, what is a realistically affordable car you would chose and what would be you ultimate choice if you had no budget.

Realistic

Realistically...I've been looking at the 2014 Shelby GT500's and supercharged Jag XJ's. Not the fastest cars in the world...but good enough to have fun in and spank 95% of what's out there. And the Jag has a built in back massager.

If money were no object...I'd be looking at a 68 Shelby GT500KR and 69 Boss 429. That said, as much as I enjoy the nostalgia of those cars...I think todays reiterations of them rival the muscularity and spank the pants off the old school in power, handling, weight...you name it.

Realistic: 3rd Gen Mazda RX7 with GM LS9 under the hood
No Budget: 10 of ^ and a 5 mile roadcourse in my backyard.

Might as well go over the top with a body kit too:

1965 Mercury Comet Caliente w a built 289 or 351w; or 67 Merc. Cougar, or 67 Ford Fairlane w sideoiler 427 or 428CJ..........all w big, oldschool cantankerous cam, high comp. high rise, 4 spd Toploader w vgate shifter. Maybe dual 4 barrels on the bigblocks :bounce: and modern brakes/suspension.

Terminator Cobra is my weapon of choice. I will have another one soon. If money were no object, I would find one of the seven 71 Hemi Cuda convertibles that were built.

goin '93 cobra for realistic

going '66 mustang coupe, white, black interior, coyote 5.0 turbo, 6 speed, big nasty brakes all around, on some big retro looking wheels on drag radials and bullet proof suspention and axle, it would run 10s in the 1/4 and over 200 up top, for my no limit build. I easy to please!!

scared to death!!!!!

I always read 11 were made for the US and a few more elsewhere, but either way they are rare.

Ive always wanted a viper which in about 20 years maybe I can afford a used one. My first realistic choice will be to finish my 72 Duster project that I'm putting a 440 in.

As far as unrealistic goes, a trophy truck would be cool.

Must be nice that some on here can realistically own a GTR, high end Mustang, ect.

I came from modded cars to Jeeps, owning a n2o Mustang, a Supercharged Cobra, and now I have an SRT4. Sounds dumb that I kept my little turbo neon and sold the low mileage 450whp cobra, but the SRT is practical being a 4 door, gets 28mpg!, and insurance is stupid cheap. Not to mention she still makes 355whp on pump while only weighing in at 2800lbs :).

Pics of the cars.

Somewhat Realistic (cheaper than a new Corvette but it's a 10-year old Datsun haha)

Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec II Nur, been a dream car of mine since they first came out.

Turbo lsx fox stupid fast & stupid fun

I'd like to have a Silverado like Parish built, except a long bed. I'd probably go with one of the newer direct injection LS engines though. I'll probably just build a healthy bored/stroked 6.0 for my S10 though.

Unrealistically, I'd like to have Bank's Duramax powered S10 or their GMC Sidewinder race truck.

I had never seen an article that said 11 until you said that. I found one or two that said 11. Everything I have read until today has said 2 4 speeds and 5 automatics were built. Either way they're rare as hen's teeth.

Realistic- AC Cobra 427 (replica)

Unrealistic- 1966 AC Cobra 427 Super Snake

Neither may be the fastest listed on here, but they're plenty fast for me. Every since I seen one as a kid it has been my dream to own one

Realistic, I've always wanted a '98-'02 WS-6 Trans-Am
If money were'nt a problem, it would be a Lamborghini Aventador!
