Disrespectful? Why should military get any more respect than the guy that empties my garbage can? They make the same amount of money and nobody is forcing them to do it.
Are we really going there? Are you sure? Are you sure you're sure? Ok.
They shouldn't get any more respect than someone who signs up to do a job like theirs. For some reason they are out there fighting so douchebags like you can have unrestricted access to a non government controlled internet (for now), so you can look at porn, buy cheap stuff, and whine on internet forums.
Youre exactly right, nobody is forcing them to do it. It's this thing called a desire to serve. A feeling of reverence for this country and what it stands for. A true calling to a greater good, that you apparently don't understand. You may never get it, and thats fine. You don't have to, because some of us do. One of the best analogies is with wolves, sheep, and sheepdogs. I don't know where you fall into the equation, you are just fleeced.
I\'m going to start a thread everytime i do something that i think is important. Why do all military guys like you think you are soooooo much better than anyone else? Its not like you got drafted or anything YOU FUCKING SIGNED UP FOR IT and now you think you are better than everyone else because you signed up to make minimum wage and get shot at,.....real smart
If you started a thread everytime you did something that you thought was important, this forum would be full of your nonsense threads, because you are one of these self-important nutlickers from the entitlement generation. And if you're not, then you would fit in well.
If the guys in the military want to think they are better because they make minimum wage and get shot at, Im all for it. There are more important things in life than making more than minimum wage, and I guaran-damn-tee you that you make more than minimum wage in the military. If mommy and daddy don't tell you what to do with your life, you don't always know, so you might need a few years to figure it out. What better way than to live with few expenses, guaranteed job security, and a decent income, all while getting respectable real world experience, and doing something with meaning.
P.S.
