Hey everyone, I posted this on a few other forums as well, but I really want to get an idea of what to expect for amsoil. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins.

I was just wondering how many of you had your trucks fluids all done in amsoil? I have been running it in the motor for the past year and am about to do my first oil change in the motor since then. I am also going to do both diffs, transfer case, transmission, and power steering. It seems as if everyone raves about it and likes it a lot. I just wanted to see how many of you used it in every aspect of your truck and how it worked. Give me the positives and the negatives. Even if you only run it in one part, let me know how you like it and what it did for you.

Here is what I am going with:

Motor:

SAE 15W-40 Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil Product Code: AMEQT-EA

Filter:

AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters Product Code: EAO80-EA

Front and Rear diffs:

Severe Gear 75W-90 Product Code: SVGQT-EA

Slip lock for the rear diff:

Slip Lock Differential Additive Product Code: ADABA-EA

Transmission/Transfer Case/Power Steering:

Synthetic Universal Transmission Fluid Product Code: ATFQT-EA

A case of the diesel fuel additive:

Diesel Fuel Additive Concentrate Product Code: ADFCN-EA

oh yeah, and of course a claybar detailing kit (first time):

California Gold® Clay Bar System Product Code: 07240SN-EA

Any help is great. Just want to hear what people think about the stuff and how it works for them!

I did the math the other day at work.

If you change you oil at 4000 miles with regular oil, then you will have changed it 6 times in 25000 miles. 3 gallons of 15w-40 Rotella is about 40 bucks plus 20 for a filter. That's 60 bucks, times 6! 360 bucks total in 25000 miles.

Amsoil says change theirs at 25000 miles and the filter every 6-7K IIRC, don't know for sure. It's roughly 130 for 4 gallons of HD Amsoil 15w-40. 4 filters at 20 bucks a pop is $80. That puts you to about 210.

I could see running the motor oil, but changing every fluid in the truck just seems like a waste.

I've used amsoil for years and never had a problem. Run it in my lowrider truck 20-50 race oil and the auto fluid and gear oil out back. Noticed the engine run a little bit cooler, the trans shifter quicker and most of my highway winne went away at 80 mph

I just rolled over 150,000 on the truck and all the fluids need to be changed. I figured I would give amsoil a try. I became a preferred customer last week and the pricing is less then you see on their website...actually a lot cheaper. I can change the motor oil in my truck with filter for $109..shipped...its only $10 to become a preferred customer and you save big! It is worth it for sure.
