going into virginia this weekend to do some touring around Petersburg and have a question or 2...

A group of us are getting together thursday through sunday to tour the A.C.W. sites around Petersburg. I'm hauling Nellie up and thats what I'll be driving around. Since it will be warm,I love driving with windshield down. No problems with that when I went to Gettysburg a few years back but since this is anal retentive virginia , are there any laws that will keep me from driving around with windshield down?
The other question is if Virginia is a open carry state?
 
Yes VA is open carry. Might not be a bad idea if you'll be in petersburg.
You should be fine with the windshield down as long as you have some eye protection.
 
All of the roads in VA suck...take an extra kidney with you.

I thought they were open carry. I know several in the group will be conceiling also. That area is more like here than what the northern part is. Only area that is a concern is coming out from Blanford Church end of the federal park road and also if we go to where A.P.Hill was killed.That is in the rear of a housing project back off in the woods.
