Good Attorney?? Charlotte

I have a friend that has been accused by their pharmacy employer of stealing money, merchandise, and prescription medications from work. They have also claimed that while at work those stolen medications are being taken, despite a clean tox screen. Loss prevention says they have video proof of all said actions. However, this person has never done such a thing and they are trying to force them into admitting to something that didn't happen. They are also refusing to show the video proof to the person to back up the alligations.

This person is in immediate need of a Good law firm to handle this situation. Anywhere in Salisbury, Charlotte, Concord, or Kannapolis. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any thoughts on ways to handle this situation would also be appreciated.
 
I dont know of any lawfirms, but i do have a question. Has law enforcement been involved yet?
 
No, the loss prevention is saying that they will not take this to court or involve the police. Which seems odd to us seeing that one accusation involves prescription narcotics!

But yeah, if police arent involved then I wouldnt worry about it, looks like the company just wants a fall person to make up for missing product. Who knows, they probably noticed things were missing but didnt record video so now they are pointing fingers in hopes of a confession. Either way, I wouldnt have em sweat it until they bring proof to light.

Now if they have a police report and his name is in it then it is time to seek legal representation.

If your friend is Innocent, tell them to tell the employer that they are going to the police, to file harassment charges. They will either sidestep and drop it, or allow it to go on. At least this way, they will have to disclose the tapes. Evidence has to be allowed to be viewed by both sides.

There is no discovery in misdemeanor cases only felonies. If he is charged with a felony then he and his attorney will be provided with all the evidence against him. If he is charged with a misdemeanor then he wont know what the evidence is until his court/trial.

Exactly. Posession of one single pill that falls under the catagory of controlled substances can carry a sentence of up to 5 years and is a felony.

The other issue in this situation is that if he doesn't lose his job over all this and loss prevention just backs off, he is worried about the possibility of some kind of record of these accusations going on his employment record, which could be a huge problem. He is currently finishing up his pharmacy degree to become head pharmacist. He has also been with the company for almost his entire career and in the event he loses his job he really doesn't have any other employers for references. That's the reason he's looking for an attorney to find out about his options to 100% clear his name as well as possibly some type of lawsuit as something like this on his record could potentially bar him from ever being employed in a pharmacy again, which means he just wasted thousands of dollars on a degree that he can never use.
 
Try George Laughrun (pronounced Lauren). He helped me out and is a nice guy. He seems to be well respected by the judges. A few of my Greek buddies all love a guy named Theo Nixon who is supposed to be really good.

George Laughrun can get you out of about anything for the right amount of money. The system in Charlotte has tightened up some on DUI and Drugs due to the fine money income etc.

I know a guy from High School that had I think 2 of his three DUI's dropped and Laughrun was his lawyer. I used to think if one killed someone Laughrun could probably get them off.
 
Thought of another guy...he's in Salisbury...his name is Cecil Whitley...last check, he charged some where around $500/hr, but it's welllllllllll worth it.
