Ok folks I know this is kinda short notice but there is a charity car show being put on by a guy I work with on March 1st. It's to benefit a local 10 year old boy from Walnut Cove, NC with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. He was diagnosed on 11/28/2011. He received aggressive treatment including chemo and radiation until Sep. 2012 when he achieved partial remission. In spring of 2013 he started feeling sick again and in June 2013 during a routine check-up it was found that the cancer had spread to his chest wall and was too extensive to cure. He has been receiving palliative care at Brenner's to control pain but the chemo has just recently started to cause more problems and they need to find another treatment.
Brandon (the little boy) is going to go around and pick his favorite car, truck, tractor or whatever and give them a trophy.
The show is going to be Saturday March 1st from 11am-4pm at Southeastern Stokes Middle School (1044 N Main St, Walnut Cove, NC). Free vehicle registration starts at 10am. All proceeds go to help pay medical expenses for Brandon. There is going to be food, music, old cars, tractors and more.
Any questions or for more info you can call Brian: 336-399-5664 or Ricky: 336-692-9624.
