been cleaning up the garage and selling lots of old parts. I have collected a few buckets of doubles (or triples), and a bunch of harbor freight tools. No real hidden gems or jewels, but it is all functional.

I am not one to throw stuff away, but the thought of being nickle and dimed to death over these tools makes me cringe. So my question is this, is there anywhere to donate these, any kids you know of looking for a small, starter set? it will be another week or two before I have everything together, but I figured I would ask here, maybe someone knows someone.

This is not a "free tools" ad, so please don't flood me with questions about what I have and how you would scoop them up, it isn't anything more then a basic set up that we should all already have if we do most anything to our daily driver.

I'm a bit of a craftsman tool collector, definitely interested if you have any of that type of stuff (i.e. buy as a lot)

Any local schools in your area have a shop class?

Go ask a college teacher who has promise, but can't afford the tools. Most of the kids taking those classes are idiots. When I went through the race car performance program back in 04-05 there was about 5-10 in the program that we're worth a crap. The other half were idiots.

One guy was trying to weld an aluminum bracket for his (racing) go cart with a MIG welder, he swore it was steel. He is now a realtor...

Ask around your local schools.
Even better, see if you can find a local high school or middle school robotics team. Lots of schools are trying to field teams like this so kids get some STEM experience, but its expensive to get going. Look up FIRST FTC or FRC near you.

There's also the local 4H or Girls and Boys Club. Heck, a Scout troop may want them.
