This how we are trying to approach the problem

Here are a few pictures. My 17 year old designed and built the processor as part of an FFA project in school.

I believe he is washing the fuel. The pic in the jar looks a little cloudy. How many times was it washed? Is he using the one step method (sodium methoxide)?? Bubble wash or water? How is he testing his fuel to make sure the FFA's are removed?

Good questions. Yes one pic is of the drying process one is how we test for the soaps. The wash process ...use a 1/2 gpm spray nozzle mounted in the top of the processor run hot water for 1 hour drain and repeat 3 times...heat to 150 degrees and circulate if you get a soap accumulation wash again. When no more soap is made then cool and use the 327 test. So far no problems. Wash frequency is dependent on the amount of fuel in the processor...we tried a continuous wash process but was not as good as above method for 100 gallon batches.

Ridgerunner that pic is after trying the continuous wash you see the soaps building up. Yes that sample jar was pre wash.

I would like to come & see your set up & pick your brain.

Is this possible? Pm me

BTW, drove to Louisville yesterday at 19.4 mpg on a tank full.

nice
