i have had no less than 5 jump boxes personally, really nice to HF cheapie, and about a year is it for all of mine. Now that being said the shop i work at and my previous shop used Napa sold boxes and our current box is over 2 years old, and the one from my last shop was 3 years old when i left ( i write the date purchased on them with permanant marker) and may still be going. I personally think that it has to be used alot to keep its charge correctly and to recharge fully. The ones i had personally just do not see daily or even monthly usage so i think that is what kills mine!!

scared to death!!!!!

i sold three to Hayes scrap yard as batteries, cut the cables off and sold them as insulated copper, Advance Auto took one from a guy at work to recycle as a battery also.

scared to death!!!!!

You can replace the batteries.

My first battery box ... too small to jump stuff... was 2 years old when I bought it new, at Wally World off a clearance rack.
it lasted 3 years, I replaced the batteries and it then lasted 3 more years ..... it met it's demise when I crossed something and melted it down.

My first Jumpstart came from one of the Cunningham traveling tool shows. I used it so much for jumps, portable power and other stuff that it stayed on the charger constantly, and it lasted 5 years. The 2nd came from Harbor Freight and lasted 3 years, with lots of use before it died.
Before I could replace the batteries in this one, the wife bought me a new one form Wally World for our anniversary.
