Neighbors' house is for sale figured I'd post it up over here so we might get some 4x4 friendly people next door. Hate to see them go, they pretty much kept to themselves, but never complained about my junk overflowing my driveway.
Location is Fieldstream Dr, Stokesdale, NC 27357...about 20 minutes north of the Greensboro airport at Interstate 40.
Here's their craigslist ad...http://greensboro.craigslist.org/reo/2703264470.html
what they don't mention in the ad is that from your 3 season porch, you can enjoy watching my kids play in the creek along the rear edge of your property line.
And as seen in the pic below, from your front porch, you can sit and watch the crazy guy next door fawk around with many different Jeep projects

C'mon nc4x4...won't you be my neighbor?

Mrs. Homeseller just told my wife that her realtor asked us to see if we could clean our stuff up a little. Apparently a potential buyer drove by but didn't even want to set up a viewing.
Reason # 1 - driveway was too steep
Reason # 2 - neighbor has a truck with 666 on it

LOL! Time to change that race number man. How about something boring like #77?

You must have alot of cool neighbors. Around here the newer subdivisions HOA would be on your A$$ for having your rig parked in the backyard! Some won't allow boats unless they're in the closed garage! About 10 years ago an affluent subdivisions HOA had it out w a guy for parking a nice new pickup in his driveway,(In the papers). This was not allowed in the restrictive covenants!!.You are not allowed to leave your garage door open either!! When I read about it, (it was near me and some good muddy trails), I absolutly covered my 84 Toy w 33 15.50 Swamper SXs w mud, and drove slowly through the neighborhood dropping mud all up and down all the streets one summer Saturday, honking as I passed his house, he had a long driveway, wooded front yard, and I had to look hard to see his truck from the street. The looks from his neighbors were priceless and I waved at all of them I passed that were outside that day..... but nobody waved back:confused:

I'll tell you right now... go ahead and park all your shit on the front yard, and leave it there until the house sells.

You mind end up with a neighbor that doesn't keep the place up, but better than one that calls the cops every time you roll home with a new Craigslist find.

I'm guessing last year's race truck is long gone.... but if not, you should line them up in the yard.

Like a museum.

It's historical interest.

most of the original 666-XJ is gone, except the tranny and front axle that are still laying in driveway, along with a few punctured 33's (still havent got around to making tire swings). You probably wouldnt notice that right now though, my truck is also in the driveway connected to the trailer with a scrap XJ on its roof strapped to it.
Too much junk, gotta park the DD XJ in the grass...HOA won't allow us to park in the street

I'm pretty sure if I looked at a house and saw 4x4 projects next door I'd consider it a positive selling point. I might give slightly more favor to houses with wakeboard boats or race cars, but not by much.

Damn. Exactly my line of thought. Some people just have no sense. If nothing else..."hey maybe that neighbor can fix my lawnmower when it breaks". They probably noticed that Tony was such a hippy and that's what turned them off.

Renegade, You may want to read your restrictive covenents if you have any where you live. The realtor will probably contact the HOA, if you have one of those; to get you to comply if your in violation of anything she thinks is keeping the house from selling.

I need a good neighbour too the house next door is forclosed and I could use a good neighbour that would let me use the garage mine is full lol

Oh I know all about the covenants, they are not that bad. All I'd have to do is make one run to the scrap yard, put the trailer in its normal spot behind the house, insure the CJ and 666, then hit the DMV for tags.
I'm fine with the sellers, we've talked about my junk and their camping and storage trailers and boat, and how its cool no one in the 'hood really cares to get all technical with the HOA rules. They might be getting some pressure from the realtor though, thats a good point. I do plan on covering the 666 doors with black plastic tommorrow (first time I've been home in daylight since the little chat), and making a run to the scrapyard soon. The junk XJ just appeared Sunday, and I threw my back out loading it up, didnt quite make it to the scrapyard this week.

I understand why some people like HOAs and coveneants but some can be down right silly. A friend of mine moved out of a neighborhood partly because the HOA pres. was a widowed, retired old man who's main pastime was evedently keeping a nazi style watch over the entire place daily! He would use binoculars and even trespass to peer over privacy fences to find any and all violations, the rest of the "board' was just as zealous to force complete conformity. 0 tollerance for any percieved violation. It was a bad joke and finally a large group of homeowners had enough and banded together and fought the HOA tooth and nail to stop this insanity. My buddy moved as the battle started to get ugly. It became a circus of sorts, next door neighbors verbally abuseing each other and getting very mad and emotional w each other at meetings w the HOA officers who all lived in the same place. Some of the residents actually supported the HOA. I'm sure today neighbors don't speak to each other or enjoy living there like they could w/o such stupidity. My next door neighbors on one side are both horders and their yard is an eysore but I respect their right to do what they want. They are educated and fine, friendly neighbors, just a little weird. The upside is when my wife complains about our yard I say "it looks fine compared to the neighbors!!" I'm sure you'll get some good neighbors in time because alot of homebuyers are looking for that also in a new home anyway.

I get lots of vehicles from HOA neighborhoods because the owners are getting fined for them.

I find this whole thread humorous because I had a neighbor who was a complete dick and called the cops every time I walked outside and farted. I tried to be nice. I really did, but he was trying to sell a 4 acre piece of land and a double wide for $250k and blamed it on me because it wouldn't sell. ( after the market crashed) Finally the county inspector came out and told me, " We are tired of hearing from him, it is your land, do whatever the hell you want to on it." I told the inspector to tel him that the next time I heard any complaints I was going to take old garage doors and build an 8 foot fence between us and paint his side hot pink. He finally sold it for $90k. New neighbor comes over to help take things apart.

BTW The realtor in that ad looks like a total dweeb.
