I think they should do it like the IROC races used to be. All identically set up vehicles and the driver just shows up and races. Pit crew is for gas and tires only (and sheet metal repairs)

I stopped watching NASCAR races at about age 10, about 20 years ago...even then it was too cookie cutter for me. I've had seats for the Coca Cola 600 for the last decade, been twice...both times left before 10 laps in. But apparently I'm in the minority because the 'sport' seems to have grown.

I was reading that NASCAR is expecting a decrease in sales and views on tv this year.

I like watching road racing cars and bikes on tv, NASCAR in person but not on tv just not enough going on for me.
