I am currently looking for a company to install a front windshield for one of my Jeeps. I have found out that the glass is very easy to break. When I tried to remove the windshield from another vehicle, the glass split in half. Where do you guys go for your off road vehicles windshield?? I am not looking to pay ($200+) windshield that I could break again easily.
I have found cheap ones in junkyards, but I would have a half time taking it home with out breaking it on the trip home. Any suggestions or places that do a good job at a low cost??

Most auto glass places will come to you and do the removal/install. Don't know a thing about price because mine are always covered under insurance.

$200 is about the going rate for an installed windshield. Like said above, any auto glass place will come to you and install it on site. If you're hell bent on doing it yourself, you need to take someone with you to help lift the glass out after you've cut the sealant away COMPLETELY. Get a cutter specifically for windshields. Usually though, trying to get the glass out from an existing vehicle without breaking it is pretty difficult, even for someone with experience.

it doesnt get any better than this. Chad had done one in my CJ years ago, thanks John for reminding me. I called him yesterday, and now he just left my driveway...new windshield in the 666 XJ at a great price.
