Anyone have a recommendation?

I need to get new front leaf springs, shocks and axle pivot bushings installed on a 1991 F250 4x4. I just bought a house that I am fixing up and I don't have time to do it myself. Local place quoted me $1100 labor because the shop manual says the axles have to come completely off to press the pivot bushings out.

Did you call Ecgs that would be my first go to

No dice they want 10 hours labor just for the axle pivot bushings! Looks like bloody knuckles for me.

I already did the leafs, shackles and shocks.... was trying now to get a shop to do those bushings and an alignment for me. The "book" says you have to take the whole axle off and stick it in a press, but from looking online you can get the bushing out with an air chisel and a ball joint press in an hour or three.

I'm betting ECGS has done that exact axle 100 times. If they say it'll take them 10 hours it's probably experience talking. You may well be able to do it in 1/3th the time...if so if open a shop if I were you. ECGS is killing it an universally respected. If you can turn out quality work in 1/4 their time you should be able to retire in 3-4 years tops

IDK I think this was more of a "this is out of our wheelhouse" quote.

I may end up using them for a re-gear on my rear axle as their price for that seems really good.
