Good source for driveway fabric

What is the advantage of non-woven over the woven products? I would like to grade and gravel a pad behind my shop and have been looking at putting something down to keep the rocks from sinking.

Probably not much difference in a residential setting. I have only used woven once but never went back to see how the road held up. I am not a heavy highway guy but I think woven is used under road project more often. Non woven is what you want for drainage, like french drains, and behind rock walls. I use a lot of 8 oz non woven in areas where I have cattle and creek crossings. Works great, and is worth the money. I don't alway use it, sometimes I put down 3" clean stone first and let it pack a few years and then top with ABC. Fabric helps some with weeds but if using ABC weeds will still grow in the gravel it self it not traveled on much.

What do you usually top the fabric with? I’m working on a 1000ish ft driveway through the woods to our build site. It drains off pretty well but it’s not a hard packed roadbed. Hoping the fabric will help out out with that.

How much you need? I might have enough sitting around.

If you're ever looking for erosion control products/silt fence/straw mat/geotextile fabric etc, Cherokee manufacturing off exit 98 is a distributor warehouse but will sell to the public and they are many times cheaper than buying from other places on most stuff.

Probably 800 ft to get to where we are at the creek right now and another 350 ft once we get across.

Let me know what you’ve got, I’d be interested in it for sure. I’ll give Cherokee a call as well.

Green Resource is who I usually use but they may be too far for you.

Scope creep in action :D
