the wife and i are thinking about a vacation..... not sure where to go..... done the cruise thing, done disney, done chicago, fort myers, tampa ..... so say we are taking a week..... where are some good places you have been or want to go??? (trying to stay in the US) we loved everything there was to do in disney, on the cruise etc, and love to just relax too..... looking for something/somewhere different!!

post some pics too!!

Do you two like to hike and bike, or more relaxing type vacations such as sitting around a pool or on a beach?

San Francisco, Key West, Portland, DC are all good... I've heard great things about Bozeman, MT, and Jackson Hole, WY.

Heard the Louisiana Gulf coast is nice this time of year, and they could use the revenue. :D

I'd love to go the Grand Tetons Personally.
you reckon they can change my oil when i get there???

we're pretty much into anything as long as it's not boring..... i like hiking, not sure if she would tho.....
the beach thing is cool, but 1-we live in wilmington (the beach) and 2-all our previous vacations were at beaches.....

i'm thinking somewhere WAY out in the midwest, or maybe vegas or cali..... something different....

we love to do touristy stuff..... tours, museums, different attractions etc....

Drive north on rte 1 from the Mass./ N.H. border all the way to Bar Harbor Me. and hit the acadia national park in early to mid september...awesome scenery and some great chow

I think Vegas is a blast! and you can run over to the Hoover Dam and even go out and rent a Jeep to wheel while your out there. More than just Gambling and shows to do!

How about a Grand Canyon hiking/biking/camping tour? There are a number of groups that take care of everything for you. My wife and I have been talking about doing that as our next trip.

our family just took a vacation to utah for a week. just rent a car and go/do what you want. It was an amazing trip

Ben to lake Powell, rented a boat and had a blast. Camped at Hall's Crossing(look that up on google earth!) Enjoyed both trips to that location. Moab, Utah has a lot to offer besides just wheeling, the scenery is amazing and there is Canyon Lands NP, Arches NP, Colorado River and a whole lot more.
Bowling Green Ky. is pretty cool, just got back from there a few months ago. Corvette Museum, Mammoth Cave(396miles of caves) Diamond Caverns, and Lost River Cave and so on.
Grand Canyon is still on my favorite places, Been to south and north rim! Pics don't do it justice.
Lake Douglas at Newport Tn. is a good place to rent a boat also. Lots to see from the water. And the zoo is great in Knoxville Tn. Pigeon Forge is close by also.
Chattanooga Tn. has a lot to do, The aqurium is awesome, Holmes Wrecker Museum was great, Ruby Falls is pretty interesting and the Incline Railway is the steepest rails on earth!
Tuscon Arizona was fantastic and sorta surprizing! Pima Air Museum was incredible! The caves are realy cool and not far(70miles) is a little town on the border that time forgot! Bisby is stuck back in time and we shot pool in a saloon with no electricity! That's right, they get ice delivered to keep the beer cold! The only heat they have in a fireplace and a woodstove. The Copper Palace Hotel was spectacular and the streets in this city are two wagons wide!
Just a few suggestions, have fun!

If your going west, I would suggest Reno. There is tons of stuff close by. You could go to lake tahoe for a day or two, rent a jeep and hit the rubicon, or just hang out in the hotel in Reno. Tons of really nice scenery in the mountains around there and no shortage of things to do.

We went on our Honeymoon at the couples resort in Ocho Rios Jamaica. It was one of the greatest trips we have ever been on and would love to go again. If you look into it, go all inclusive, its well worth it. I would advise going to the Couples in Negil as appose the Ocho Rios location, The Ocho Rios location is a 2 hour ride from the air port on dirt roads with no traffic laws, it was interesting to say the least. The Negil location is new and modern and is like 30 mins from the airport. The trip was unbelievable and Couples is the best for a couple, no single people or kids or familys to bother you around the pool or beach.

If you interested PM me and I can get tell you more.
