Thought I'd point out a fun little game... tangent from some earlier discussions.

Often when things are translated between langauges, they get mixed up or lose meaning.

Try this:
1 - click thsi link twice, so you get 2 new browser windows open.
http://translate.google.com/#

2 - in one window, enter soem whitty phrase in teh box on the left. Then select your favorite foreign language under "To:".
The translation wil lappear on the right.

3 - now highlight this translation and copy it (Ctrl-C).
4 - go to the other Google Translator. Paste your translated phrase in the left, and select English under "to:".

Take the original, and results, and paste back here.

Example:

Original:
I like fuzzy bunnies
Chinese:
I like the furry rabbit

NC4x4 is the coolest site in the world. There is a great wealth of information here, nice people, and good place to share common interests.

Chinese:
NC4x4 is the world's coolest websites. There is a message here, good people, good place to share common interests tremendous wealth.

I would like the Chinese to share with me their tremendous wealth.......

I think it screws up the wording because most other languages put the adjective after the noun they describe so google gets it right going from English to said language and leaves it that way when going back to English.

Good try, but Google doesn't make mistakes. They're doing it for humor purposes only. and possibly racism.

it's the violence inherent in the system.
