where in northern charlotte can I get my hitch looked at to find out what kind of ball fits it. I cannot find a tag on it the actual hitch. I know it has a square port in the bed where the ball sits and a rod that you pull out to remove the ball.

most all Goose balls are 2 5/16"

And they're damn proud of it.

B&W Turnover ball

That's not what he's saying. He bought the truck used and it already has the flip over ball system installed, but the ball itself is missing. He needs to know who can identify the manufacturer so he can get a new ball. I really don't know myself, but if it were me I'd just go to some shops that install the things and see if they recognize it. Maybe Golden Gait in Concord? Post up a pic of the mechanism, maybe someone will recognize it.

And there's about a 95% chance that the one he described is a b&w turnover ball...

yea I need to go somewhere and let them look at it, thats what I was asking is a place. No it is not a turn over type system. the ball just falls in and locks. you pull the rod and pull the ball up and flip it around so that it would be hidden.

um, look at the link, and catch some of the animation, sounds exactly like how the B&W works. is why I posted the link.

only 2 drop in goose ball systems I know of, B&W and UniGoose, UniGoose uses a drop collar and locking balls, has a plug to fill the hole.

B&W actually flips over and has the pull rod in the wheel well.
