So we got us a new toy. An 82 YOTA 22r, 4spd, no power steering, and manual brakes. It's got a fresh built motor with around 20k on it. 4 inch lift and a 2in body with 33 TSLs and 456 gears no lockers. Hardy any rust on it. So what should be the first thing we do to it?

Give it to me?

What do you want to do with it? I'd say weld the rear, maybe high steer up front, then some armor.

Rockwells, 49s, cage, bob it! OHHH and a big block!

power steering
Winch
weld rear/locker in front
long fields in front
exo
doubler

Hmm I like these suggestions... But what do you mean by doubler? I am not sure if I wanna cut the bed too much cause it's not full of rust. Maybe bob it plus I'm thinking a cage maybe.

I think I'll be doing some sort of power steering and brakes on it first. I've already been out wheeling it and it does pretty damn good. Lockers are a must have for sure. This thing is way cooler than the jeep that we traded. Any suggestions on pwr brakes and steering.

Awesome Chris!! Man I been back from the desert for almost 2 months we need to take this thing wheelin! Glad your not gonna be beating up your tacoma anymore lol!

Poach the power steering and brakes from a junker unless you have a big budget. Take the savings and buy a lock rite up front and weld the rear.
Wheel it till you get scared or crush something and then slap some armor and cage on.

Then dual cases. When the sheet metal is mangled lose the bed and front fenders. You have all the lift needed to get 37s or so.

Mods only finish when the cash does; viscous cycle

ide put spacers up front and ifs rear you can find a booster and 1"mc in the junkyard all day then lock the rear and wheel it maybe sliders too

i think ive seen this truck driving around fort mill or rock hill

locker in the rear and some sliders. i wouldn'y cut it up if it is really a nice truck. if you want to cut something up start with a piece of crap. save atleast one for the museums.

Hell yea man let's do it... I'm sure this thing will make it up some of the trails. Let me know when you wanna go and hit the trails. That's a good idea about the per steering all I gotta do now is find a good junkyard yota that I can scrap the brakes and steering from.

Yea I haven't decided if we wanna cut it up because the body is in pretty good shape. I'll more than likely be cutting up the 84 that I have cause it's rotted the hell out. I don't know if I wanna lock the rear or just weld it.
