This was back in October, just ran across the pic. and thought I'd share. My son and I stopped by my cousins shop, walked in and didn't see him so we walked in and looked around and my son hollers snake! I calmly said sure and then heard him running, as I turned around the snake (copperhead no doubt) was about 2 feet away under a van in position, I got him pinned down with looong piece of angle iron. My cousin was in the house and came out and beheadded him. He said he had just been under the van working and stepped in the house, said he's been having a hard time staying focused on work! Yall have these in the western part of nc?

Oh yeah, plenty of them in western NC. I have a friend who is a snake guy, and works really hard to educate people about snakes and to not kill them. But, he doesn't say that about copperheads anymore because there are so many.

My father who passed when I was 7 was a great snake lover from the louisiana bayou, even at that age I remember handling them and the different outlook he had on snakes than people in this area. They're still ok with me as long as they are somewhere else, this brand anyway!

I had a black snake in my garage when I was in Greensboro, had to have been 6' long. It was friggin huge.

He was curled up with an A/C hose out of my Trans Am, musta thought he was loving on another black snake.

i run a mowing/ landscaping business and I always kill several a year. Mostly smaller copperheads but have seen a few big ones over the years. have hit them with a commercial mower that has sharp blades, just sort of cuts them into clean chunks.
