Long story short is i had a back fire through my intake and it popped my diaphragm on mixer/vaporizer/... so I am going to get up with Cary at got propane and thinking about sending it to him to check over cause before the backfire but after the turbo mod have been running through propane like crazy, much more propane than others with my same setup/ same trail etc. Also I smell a raw propane smell that indidnt smell before...granted I am running a 18" down pipe and before in had exhaust out the end of the rig. So alot of variables between before and after.

Question: where locally is a place I can get a model E vaporizer diaphragm?

I was going to try and get a diaphragm first and throw it on to see if it was still running on the rich side before I sent it to Cary to get him to look it over and make sure it's right for the turbo and all.

Maybe try a local forklift service.

Yea I haven’t done a lot of research to find a forklift service shop that’s not Gregory Poole or crown. I need to do some more and find out... if anyone knows of anywhere let me know

You might need a stiffer spring in the mixer.

I have purchased parts from Nash Fuel and Helmar with good results, but neither of those are local.

If you are thinking about sending it to Cary, might be best to just do it. I would call and discuss it with him first.

That looks to be a Model CA200 metering valve/diaphragm, and yeah, that’s toast. Impco AV1-12-2

Model E regulator rebuild kit is more than just one diaphragm, there are several of different shapes and action, and a filter

Look on www.carbturbo.com for parts, you’ll get them cheaper there than any forklift dealer. Guaranteed

an FYI about forklift dealers, most are factory reps for the brands they advertise, they'll have a limited amount of inventory on hand (usually the fast moving stuff) FOR THEIR BRAND, and will have even fewer aftermarket parts on hand (again only stuff that is frequently sold) few if any are equipped or welcome walk in customers that do not have or are not willing to set up a credit account. everything they do is credit based, the average Joe walking in with cash isn't a consideration. Some may make exceptions, but they'll be pissy about it ( your $100 order isn't worth their time  ) at that, you'll be paying max markup. ( and you thought car dealers were rough )
