got the scales pulled on me

I believe you'd better check the SUV loop hole. My Bronco is titled as a station wagon with no weight regulations. Both of my Jeeps, a Cherokee and a Grand Cherokee, were titled as MPV's and would require weighted tags for towing. There is a difference.

CMG147, out of curiosity, what weight tag do you have on your F150?

the tag on the f150 is for 6000 the jeep is comcered a passenger vehicle and says on the back of the regs.. total gross weight (aka) jeep, trailer, and the load can't exceed 26000 lbs also I talked to my neighbor who is a trooper and he said it was a go for the jeep
and to leave the truck in the yard haha....

Just because it's legal to use the jeep rather than the truck doesn't mean it's a good idea. Tag the truck for the weight you plan on towing and don't worry about it. Being that it's such a light truck...you won't need much weight on the tag.
