So the wife and I have been looking at getting a new refrigerator and we have been dragging our feet due to the cost. I was in Lowe’s the other day picking up some random BS and walk down an isle full of refrigerators with clearance tags on them. So I asked the lady hesitantly (don’t like interacting with those window lickers) about what the deal was and she says They are the 2017 models and are on clearance to make way for the 2018 models. I did some quick research on the one that my wife and I both liked it had amazing reviews and so we bought one on the spot. All in all out the door delivered w/ 3 yr. warranty it was still $1200 cheaper than marked and was brand new in the box. If anybody is in the market I don’t know how the Lowe’s is back in North Carolina but the one here in Louisiana was stocked with last year‘s models and they still come with full factory warranty and the ability to buy extra warranty just like if it was brand new (cause they are). Just thought I would put that up in case anybody is in the market.

My wife and I did something similar. They were having a holiday sale at 10% off, wasn’t really enough to make us want to buy. But they were running a deal on their credit cards, if we applied/got/purchased was an additional 15% off. Saved $2k on a fridge, dishwasher and stove. Paid it off when we got home...items were delivered 3 days later.

Good looking fridge, we were eyeballing the GE’s but went Samsung. Reading reviews looks like GE shoulda been the way we went...samsung works, until it doesn’t.

I just looked at that exact fridge few weeks ago while in lowes! Good choice, damn things huge inside I love the deep drawer freezer too instead of side by side style makes life easie especially with youngins!

With the savings we got we went with the 3yr warranty. I don’t think it’s a “Samsung, GE, whirlpool is better thing” I think it’s a “I got a good one” thing like a dood who doesn’t bullet proof a 6.0 Ford diesel and has 300k on the clock. Just got one of the good ones. Either way all of them have their issues but the foreign ones just seem to have more expensive/longer wait for parts. But hell, I don’t know...
