The blower motor works, you can hear it, but very little air comes out of any of the vents. I'm thinking that maybe the damper door or recirc door (whatever it is called) is stuck in a mid position.
Anybody else experienced this?
Does the selector knob that chooses which vents the air comes out of use vacuum to change the damper door position? I'm wondering what the most likely scenario is; loss of vacuum, selector knob broke, or damper door broke?

Remove the blower motor, you'll see that the recirculation door has broken and is blocking the blower's air path. You will have 2 options- simply wiggle the door out of the HVAC box or pull the dash and replace the recirc door assembly. That door id vacuum controlled FYI.
Easy stuff. I have probably pulled a thousand or more ZJ and WJ dashes. Lemme know if I can help any more.

Thanks. Before I read your post, I started troubleshooting tonight. Vacuum is fine, I can see the mode door actuator move. I was wondering if the mode door had broken off, but the recirc door makes a lot more sense.
Is there an easy way to remove the door out of the HVAC box without pulling the dash? Do you have any pics?

Yep. Just remove the blower motor. It is held in with 3 T25 torx screws. Then reach up into the pocket the blower sets in, wiggle the door and simply slide it out the hole. Honestly a 5 minute job.

You sir, are the man! The door had broken off and was blocking the air from the blower. I had to break the door in half to get it thru the hole, but now we have full air! Thanks again!!
