grease fittings in spring/shackle bolts?

anyone ever drilled and tapped their own bolts for grease fittings? any tips or advice before i do it? im going to use larger bolts with lock nuts and get rid of the inner sleeve in the bushing. thanks

I've tried it and found its much easier to just buy them...

never seen 3/4 only 1/2 & 9/16 , but try MORE out in co.
