Looking for a new 5 or so gallon grease pump. I want something that holds more than a standard gun so I'm not running into empties every time I turn around. The Lincoln is more $$ than I want to pay, the cheap pneumatics, $250 plus, don't get great reviews.

Then I found this:

Amazon.com: G. Gun Grease Gun - The frustration-free Grease Gun - Quick and Easy greasing - 6.5ft flex hose standard - LockNLube Lock-on, Clip-off grease coupler fitted standard - Mess-free, Waste Free - Durable Industrial Strength Construction - Heavy-duty, 10,000 psi Foot Operated Grease Gun - INCLUDES Shipping!: Automotive

Opinions on this, or a recommendation for a decent (and affordable) grease pump??

Nothing relevent to add but I once used a concrete trowel to empty a (full) 20 gallon Wolfs Head grease barrel.

I went ahead and got the G.Gun. Came today, and got it loaded up...works great. I loaded it up with moly grease. Like it good enough I am thinking of getting another and loading up with hi-temp for trailer bearings and stuff.

Seems like it would be prone to air pockets. Otherwise I like the simplicity and having 2 hands free with the foot pump. Post an update once you get some more time with it.

You have to "prime" it to get the air pockets out. All you do is pick it up and thump it on the floor. Took about 4-5 times to get it working first time. Did the FEL, backhoe, and a few other things, no issues at all once I got it started the first time. Only downside, if you are up under something, you really need to have someone pump it for you. Can do it with hand, though, if you can reach it at the same time.

And the desc. says 6.5' hose, it's a good ten feet, as said in reviews.
