Well, a bad idea and a few weeks later and we have finally almost finished the towable grill to be used to tailgating as app wins its third national title in a row :flipoff2: just thought i'd share in the build since i'm bored.

Trailor

Trailor and ever lovable wheezy

Makings of the grill

More when we finish

yea i'm not sure it will hold up to the massive torque loads that will be applied from the grill :huggy:
Yep, I see that thing bending the housing as soon as you throw that first 20 oz porterhouse on there!

oooh, BLACK and GOLD, so sexy....where do y'all tailgate?
looks cool so far,
Geoff

To be honest, the paint scheme looks like hell. We are gonna redo all the gold black and do the black gold :bling: should look better. We normally tailgate in raley, but rumor has it they are shutting it down for Yosef club, and students have to use greenwood above the stadium. Yall feel free to come join when the games start. :bounce2::bounce: That is granted we finish the damn thing

There is already a 60 swap in the future, maybe a 404 so we can get better spatula to grill dynamics

Looks like you should have propane tank hold downs on the trailer and the tanks sitting on the trailer bed. Looks really cool. Still would like a little App gold in there somewhere :)

Looks good.
I like the big open front good for coolers and other gear.
Just remember cookers don't need tags because they don't carry anything but if you carry coolers or gear it is a trailer and needs tags and lights....
Most people dont know that if you carry a pig on the grill you need a tag on it.....If the cooker does not have anything on it then no tag...

"if you carry coolers or gear it is a trailer and needs tags and lights...."

Reckon that would apply to the tanks as well? Maybe Reed was way ahead of me on that.

When we catered and built trailers, they let us put gas and burners and friers on the trailers but the larger trailers that we put a "tool" box on or coolers and stuff like that on we needed tags. I have not checked in the last few years but with the fact, in the rain you must run with lights on I dont if that changes the trailer laws for a cooker if you towed when lights not needed then you were fine, but if you wanted to tow at night you needed lights. Thinking if in a bad storm and you must run with lights then that may go for trailers now to but who knows....
For 25$ you can get a light kit with all the lights and wire, I think just to be safe all trailers should have lights.....

Well, my buddy paid for it and Braden and I built it (Newman built the trailer) he wants to add a 6 in high railing around the open area to stash coolers and the like. He wants to put the tanks on there too but i'm not going to let him unless he builds a cage like thing for them. We can't have the tanks sitting on the trailer because they messed up mounting the lines, since the grill sits between 2 peices of angle iron and is about an inch below the deck of the trailer, the only way we could pull off the burners being at the right height would be to put the lines in the bottom and just set the tanks under the grill when grilling.

I'm forcing him to put lights on it. Looks like he will have to tag it for the coolers.

And Austin is in charge of puttin all of the App stuff on the grill. PM him with any suggestions :bling:
