Again Dream Team and its not close. They NEVER trailed at any time. Hell showing up drunk for a TV appearance the next day, they showed up drunk to play and won by 75...
You can talk all day about second place, but the original Dream Team will always be the greatest collection of talent on one field of play at any time in modern history in any sport.

Yep, and they'd smoke any Olympic team today. Easy gold medal, Kobe is on crack if he thinks they could beat the Dream Team.

I'm not sure that I dont agree with Pippen....I might bet on the OG Dream Team if they played tomorrow.

I like Larry Bird's response, when told Kobe said they'd beat the Dream Team: "Well, they probably could, I haven't played in 20 years and we're all old now".

I don't think this team could be Dream Team 92 or 96. The 08 team was better than this one.

Barkley said it pretty well: The current team has maybe 3 players that could make the original Dream Team. Kobe, Lebron, Durant.
Dream Team had 12 players, 10 of whom were in the top 50 of all time. Every player on the DT that was elite then, would be elite now.
No contest.
 
Ricky Carmichael, 150 combined SX and MX wins. Two perfect MX seasons (won every moto)

Jermey McGrath, 72 SX wins.

Both of them set records that will most likely never be beaten.

It will be interesting to see what Villipoto does through the years. I was expecting more from Canard after his dominant first year in Lites, but he's yet to pull it together.

Haha, no I don't think JS is going to beat either of those records. He is 26 yrs old now, and has taken some hard hits during his career. It seems as though everyone else has caught up to his pace. He is no longer a full step above everyone else with his speed.

Villopotto is under contract negotiations right now. I'm hearing he wants a 3 yr deal, then is planning to retire. That doesn't give him enough time to go for those records.

I think Canard rides a little too much on the edge. That guy has taken some real diggers during his career. I haven't heard much about him lately. I'm not sure how he is progressing from his back injury. I hope he heals up 100%, and can return to form for 2013.

Dungey is the guy who could make a good run up the record books. He is only 22 yrs old, and been in the 450 class for 2.5 yrs. After last w/e he is now 4th on the list for most MX overall wins (19). Stewart is 5th on the list, so Dungey is already ahead of him. Dungey will most likely take the 3rd spot on that list before this season is over. 2nd place is easily within reach for him next year.
 
But as far as teams go take your pick the Miami hurricanes won NCAA championships in football in 1983 1987 1989 1991 and 2001. All those teams were unstoppable. They beat teams that they were not expected 2 and beat them bad! They also have put more players in the NFL than any other program, Miami hurricanes was a football factory!
