I am heading to Greensboro tomorrow to see David Alan Coe. Can't believe he is still Alive and touring.

Anyways I want to eat at a local place before the concert. Just wondering if there are any recommendations. Bar food or diner, nothing fancy, no pizza, Italian or BBQ, NO chain restaurants.

Love me some D.A.C. Seen him multiple times the last time was about 10-12 years ago and he wasn’t getting around very well then.

Mac's Speed Shop or Bad Daddy's are my two favorites in Greensboro. I know there's quite a few good places but I don't get out that way much.

M’Couls Pub-downtown has some great food! Nice atmosphere too!

Crafted-has amazing Americanized tacos with a rolling menu based I local fresh ingredients.

Hops burger bar- 2 locations. Rated one of the best burgers in the nation a couple years ago.

Village Tavern-is amazing, slightly fancy.

US Sushi-has the best sushi around if you ask me.

Lucky 32- amazing, but fancy

Green Valley Grill-fancy

Hops or Hoops?
Hops is a chain that used to be in Charlotte, had good food and actually one of the first that had their own beer.

If it's on the western side of GB that would work too.

Never ate at hops but our plant is only a few hundred yards from it and cars are lined up down the street from that place every day.

It’s Hops. And it’s good.

I’m a big fan of M’Couls, even though the service is hit or miss. Service is good more times than it’s bad.
The meatloaf is excellent. The Reuben is excellent. The fish n chips is amazing, they have it two different ways and the tempura style is awesome. I’ve had both traditional and tempura.

They have many traditional Irish meals. The chicken pie and shepherds pies is great too.

My job is basically to take people out to eat, so I know a lot about food and my weight shows it lol.

You have to make a sales call up around Asheville in the next couple months then.

Me and few others might have to ride up soon, give you and hand with your old crippled feet. Maybe come have some fun on a Friday, then wake up and help you around your place Saturday!

Or Stamey's BBQ across the street from the Coliseum?

But have been known to drive 50+ miles out of the way to hit Crafted for a Bowtie & Fedora combo...

Personally, I’ve never seen what all the hype is about Stameys. Maybe it’s because it’s always been around. But I have BBQ Joes here in Trinity and Archdale and consider it the best around. BBQ is a hot debate though and varies with many opinions. But Stameys just seems like another old BBQ joint if you ask me. I didn’t mention it since he said no BBQ.

See that's how I feel about Hops. To me Bad Daddy's is just as good as Hops and I don't have to wait 10 days for a table.

Tomorrow 830
CONE Denim.....we'll see. Tacking 3 19 year olds. Should be interesting.

Agreed. Bad Daddys is very good too. I suppose I’m a bit biased to Hops being the original. BD feels more like a chain to me.

Since Hops opened the second location on Battleground, it’s much better as far as wait times.
