Grill recommendation!!

I got one of these and have absolutely loved it. you can also add a smoke box to the end of it for $60.

that's literally what I have but w/o the 2nd box on the right. Plenty happy.

I've had the same Weber for probably 10 years. I inherited it from my father-in-law who replaced it with a shinier Weber. I'd guess its 15-20 years old. There are 2 or 3 chipped spots on the grates, but otherwise they look brand new and nothing sticks to them. The first layer of paint on the inside of the lid has flaked off, but everything else looks and works like new. It sits uncovered on the corner of my porch, so it gets rain, and a couple hours of sun every day. My ONLY complaint is the burners run side to side, and with only a front and rear burner it doesn't give you enough room for heat variation. I'd rather have 3 or 4 running front to back.

anybody have the AKORN?
I know a guy that has one and he's happy with it. It's not a bge doesn't seem to be near as heavy. The only reason I have a bge it was a gift. Love it but I'll never spend 1500 on another one.

Just get a BGE, Kamado Joe, or Primo. Make the switch & don't look back. :flipoff:

To keep this on track with what Kenneth asked.

Kamado style cooker & put a propane burner in the bottom.

I love my PitBoss PB700, I wish I had gotten it sooner. It's exceeded any expectations that I had
