Grinding Problem still after changing Master and Slave Cyl.

So i changed out my master and slave and found out the both had small leaks. i thought that this would fix my grinding problem that i have in my 1995 jeep wrangler but it didn't. I still think it is a clutch problem because i hear and feel a single click sound when i disengage the clutch then a squeeking noise when i engage the clutch.

since i have to take out the transmission to fix the clutch, im still wondering if i have a synchro gear problem or some kind of miss-alignment. i would rather not change the synchros out but i also dont want to take the transmission out twice.

can anyone tell me how do you know if your synchro gear went bad. is there anything i can do, feel or hear to see if it went bad.

also can anyone tell me if they had similar grinding problems? 1st and second feels like its grinding but does not make such a harsh noise (kind of like a pulse), 5th will always grind REALY BAD and when i let off the gas 5th also has a bad clunking sound. 3rd feels the same as 1st and 2nd when up shifting but will has a BAD grinding noise like 5th when down shifting, and 4th feels perfectly fine (I dont get why)

Please help me out here guys i got to get this thing running right before I graduate highschool and take off to ECU which is pretty far away from my house.

Thank You

what ratio/tires are you running on the yj? have you replaced the fluid ever? it it is that bad with 5th it sounds like when i ran my first tranny dry and it basically melted everything

Did you try pumping the clutch to see if the problem goes away still? Hydraulic clutches can be extremely tough to get all the air out of. It may still be air in the system causing your issue.
