I did dryer vent cleaning along with duct cleaning for several years and I've seen the aftermath of what happens with a clogged dryer vent. It is no joke.
It is likely to be one of the most overlooked systems in an entire house or community living complex.
Tear that horseshit out immediately and replace it with 4 inch hard pipe.
If it's more than you care to do, then buy the materials and I will come up there and do it for free if I have to. I am that adamant about it.
