But do you know where you were 4 years ago today?
I do. And it was cold, rainy, muddy and one hell of a party.
 
Mt city Tennessee..... I still have the t shirt. We won with Dylan, won with pj, and Dave drove us off the mountain twice!!! I iron butted the day as a codog....

I remember I had just met you like 2weeks prior to this race, and the next time I saw you was as I was about to take the green flag at this race. There wasn't many fans that day, it was cool to wave to someone I recognized as I took off.

I still have the T-shirt too, and a nice 2nd place trophy, some snap on tools and an old Kevin Harvick snap on clock. I think my co-driver has abandoned any hope of getting his shirt mailed to him :lol:

I still blame that on Brad and his "parking" job.
 
Wow thinking back to that.... I still cannot believe I loaded every fawkin' tool I own into my truck, drove it 10 hrs down there, unloaded all that shit, raced it, nearly ran it off the mountain twice, had to do an emergency U-bolt repair the next morning after almost losing an axle, and drove that shit 10 hrs home all in 1 weekend and was at work on Monday.
Thinking of all the things that could have gone wrong... wow that was stupid lol. But I cherish every moment of it :D

And I too still have the "Racer's Addition" t-shirt and chuckle every time I see it.
 
I remember that day well. Lane pulled the winning number for the giveaway jeep..Shelly Bently won it.

I remember the xj that lost brakes and just crashed the shiat out of it..A fast hard roll. Brad Carrier sold a race jeep where it sat..hanging over a cliff. Ratlab Dave followed him over the edge. Rob was found passed out sitting in a chair by the fire with a friggin pork chop hanging from his mouth. Joe D filed the very first redcard at an official.

Does anyone remember the way pre running was handled? The 1 and only time it happened this way. I liked it.

You name a race, any ecors race, and I'll have detailed memories of it!

Yeah...the chaperoned parade lap. Snappy and I were writing down rally type notes and actually used them for the first few laps, until I had almost memorized every bump,turn and rock.

That xj yard sale may well be the worst wreck to ever happen in an ecors race...unless I'm totally forgetting one.

I remember yard saling a borrowed four wheeler a couple days before that race. I think rob and I rolled into town a week early?

Yeah...it could have been worse too, as they ended up just feet from at least a 50 ft drop off. There's been a lot of wrecks, but I agree, unless I am forgetting one..that was huge. Was that guys name Rob Clipper?

yep I remember doing this and we got to that muddy hairpin turn and were all like... huh... this is gonna be interesting....

That was the first place we had to winch
 
That XJ yard sale happened about 2ft in front of me, I swear there was no contact. Brake failure?...hmmm, the way his ass end started bouncing around, it appeared the front brakes were working just fine, I think he just lost it hauling ass down the mountain.
 
They told me the brakes went out..but they yanked on the E brake. I was sitting a hundred feet from where they crashed and I swear we felt the impact through the ground.
 
Yeah...that race hurt...but i got 2nd place even with the yard sale. :flipoff2:We were gonna win...till we lost...... :lol:
