Gulches Presidents Day Run is Coming

February 18th Saturday is Gulches Presidents Day Run which has always been our biggest day of the year. Last year's President's Day (Save the Gulches Run) brought over 500 rigs and helped keep our park afloat. Mark your calendar you don't want to miss the the Southeast's biggest kick off event of the year. More info to come later.

I went to this event last year as a passenger, it was a great event. I will be there this year with my own rig.
I also went as a watcher.
*Great place to camp by the river.
*Size of the park makes it easy to see navigate to spectate.
*Super nice folks that seem to go out of their way to see that
you have what you need.
I hope I can go again this year!

Presidents Day Run is from Friday February 17th through Monday February 21st with Saturday being the usual big day. This year we have a preregistration discount program as listed in the flier. (save some bucks!!!) The preregistration form will soon be up on our home page gulchesorvpark.com. The form explains how to submit your registration with either a check or credit card through our paypal account. Preregistration is important to get an idea how many folks are coming especially for the food purveyors. This is the kick off event of the year for the Southeast we hope to see you here.

You can bet your ass i'll be there.
We need to help Skip and Lydia keep this place open.
Gulches ORV park needs our support.
We need a place to wheel. Here it is.
Any questions?
Later, Paul...

That was a great event last year. Even with that many people at the park, you never waited very long to get on an obstacle. You guys did a great job with traffic control and I had a blast. I should have my jeep back by then and will be there rain or shine.

Have a group planning to make the ride down there from the Spartanburg area. I will be heading down there this weekend as well to shake down my new to me rig. Will probably fill out my pre registration while I am down there.

Working on trying to make this. Had a blast last year.

Hard to tell. I think it will definitely be very big but as big as last year not sure. We are ready and have a large over flow area just a half mile away on Indian Mound so no one will have to drive their rig 2 miles to get here.

Where is this place located?...never been.

Getting my junk ready now for this ride.
Caddy has a new ring and pinion, Pinky has new axles and the motorhome is ready to go.
Time to ride ladies!

Be there saturday AM in my buggy. First trip to Gulches....looking forward to it.

Looks like just enough rain to settle the dust on Thursday, then great weather the rest of the weekend! Looking forward to this!

Anyone from the triad area going that'll have an open bed or trailer space for a set of tons? Going to try to make it work but could use a back up plan.

Weather as of Thursday morning Friday looks very nice temps in the low 60's. Friday night temps 39 to 44 degrees. Saturday morning looks good with a chance of rain Saturday (40%) late in the afternoon or evening mid to high 50's. Sunday morning the rain should start to clear and then sunny through Monday. This time of year rain is very tough to figure. Tuesday we had a 70% chance and got no rain.

Weather looks nice see ya this evening.

I know they are calling for rain late on Saturday and that's the good news as we will have a great day on Saturday. Just to give an illustration of how weather moves and misses. Yesterday the forecast from the weather heads said there was a 70% chance of rain in Waterloo (where the park is) and we got no rain just fog. So just because it poured by you does not mean it rained here. I had several calls yesterday thinking we would be swamped. We are bone dry going into today and Saturday Morning. If it rains late, they say it should be over Sunday morning. If you are in doubt call 864 449 5698
