I was there last weekend and holy cow what a good time!!

I heard rumor that Skip may be blazing some new trails before this ride. Pretty sick ones at that!!! Of course all the trails are just as tough as they were for the save the gulches event.

You guys should see me up there.

I'm confused as well.

It looked like the admission price was for the whole weekend. Does anyone know if there is a price for just one day? Soem of us were thinking of driving down Satruday, but $75 seems a little steep for just one day. Skip?
 
It looks like it's in the Past Events section because it's not happening. I checked their site and nothing is listed for that weekend.

One post from someone at Gulches could have avoided all this confusion.

We apologize for the confusion. The guy that posted this here posted in the wrong place. This event is still very much on. Here are some explanations...

1. Why isn't this on the Gulches Schedule? - Skip was glad to put on a large event ran by an outside entity but did not want it to take away from his weekly business. We agreed to keep it off the schedule until 2 weeks out. It has caused plenty of confusion, but we want to support Skip - not hurt him.

2. Is there a one day pass? No, there simply is no way to cover the park rental, food, product, etc. if we did one day passes. I know it seems like a lot but it really isn't once you break it down. Think of Friday and Sunday as bonus time.

Just to add my two cents. This should be a great event with a lot of folks from all over the southeast. As to the price you have to look at it as not only are you getting to ride for 3 days with two night rides. But Friday and Saturday all of your food (lunch and BBQ dinner on Saturday) and drink is provided plus 5 raffle tickets. The tickets are going to sell for $4.00 per at the event. (There's $20.00 right there) Since many of you on this forum are from out of the Gulches immediate area, an over night or weekend stay is not out of the question. My price would be $25.00 for Friday(night ride) and $25.00 for Saturday and for Sunday. There is $75.00 right there with out raffle tickets and food. Because this is an event I have suspended the $50.00 weekend rate. Something to consider. To Nelms Off Road I hope I have not spoken out of turn. If I got anything incorrect above please let me know.
 
I am going to make this one. I need to peel some more paint off my junk. Plus I have missed the last couple of wheelin trips I thought I was going on and Gulches is always alotta fun.
