H1 rim rock rings or stiffners?

I need a cheap solution. I think I read some have used rebar? What size is it? How's that working? Anything else? I thought about some .5 round. So what is everyone doing to reinforce the H1 rim ring? Mine are 8 bolt by the way if that matters.

I know Mudpro had some solid rolled rings for this use at one point. Might can give him a shout.

He also cuts the rock rings if you wanted to go that route too. Could even do something custom for you.

I got my H1 rock rings from great lakes off road back in the day. Cost me like 100 bucks for a set of 4.

Made these out of #4 rebar. Drilled an angled hole in deck of trailer to bend and form them to fit in lip of wheel. About as much bang for the buck as it gets

Have you seen a noticeable difference? I picked up some round yesterday for $10 and will give it a try. I've bent the outer ring 2 or 3 times already. I'm not sure I understand how you bent them though. LOL!
