We have bought a couple of these over the years, ours stays out nearly year around.
Do NOT buy the rope one, spend the extra money to get the fabric hammocks. The rope ones "cut into" you after laying there for a little bit.
My parents have a rope one that almost never gets used for that reason. Sometimes we will pitch a blanket on it but then the blanket moves, etc.

The Quilted one is the model we got, VERY happy with it, has faded some after 2-3 years now, but still very comfy, was out in it a weekend or so back, drinking a nice soda and watching the stars go by!
We have the stand...but sucker blows over all the freakin time since the fabric version is basically a SAIL! (I guess that would be advantage of rope..)
I am thinking of "bolting" my stand down or something to stop that.
We bought the pillow too...worth the bucks just to have one you can leave out there all the time too. Downside is that since that makes it heavier on that side, usually that part ends up facing the ground.
The plus though..is that means the bottom side gets more of the sun / rain, etc. And just takes a second to right it and hop on.
Final note...it DOES support both me and the wife...I realize you are one of them skinny people, but figured I would mention it.
