Where do I go to buy a 7ft piece of brake tube to bend and put the right fittings on the ends myself?

I snapped the heads off the rear brake line on my CJ-7 trying to install new braided lines, and advance auto/auto zone only has 5ft long pieces

You'll probably have to make it 2 pc. I think just about everybody has 5' now. Maybe NAPA can special order long pieces??

The CJ5 I was dissasembling this weekend had a brass fitting midway down the frame that coupled 2 lines together that had been crimped. I've also purchased a steel fitting from NApa that had ferrels on either side and would couple 2 lines together without having to crimp the ends. I don't think this ftting is reccomended for continued use, but it got me home from Dayton!

Brake lines suck

I have to recommend 90/10 copper nickel. You can get it in rolls and make whatever you want. It is good stuff (and guess what it doesn't rust).

I am lazy and hate doing brake lines so I sucked it up and bought the stainless line kit from Classic Tube. Worth every darn penny.

If you dont mind driving to greensboro I have the 90/10 copper nickle line that he is talking about along with the tube nuts and flaring tools. Just bring me the original line and fittings and I cn make it for you in just a few min. I can also do ss braided and oem rubber.

fun times.... espeically if you have to double flair any of them/

Word to the wise on this. Get the adapter connectors and connect 2 preflaired pieces together to fit. In other words stay away from flairing yourself in less you just got time to burn. You might have to add some additional bends to get the length correct but its better then trying to makem yourself.

One more thing...spend the extra cash and buy a few flairing wrenches.

All parts above including flairing tool rental available at autozone.

Goodluck
